Services for C. Perry Beckner, 95, who died Saturday, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Yocom chapel. The Rev. James P. Gable will officiate and burial will be in Oak Shade cemetery.
Born December 11, 1848, he spent his entire life in Marion. He was married Feb. 27, 1885, to Margaret Evelyn Weigold. In the first year of his marriage he built his present home and had occupied it since. Mrs. Beckner died Sept. 14, 1896. Mr. Beckner helped to lay a great deal of the stone and brick in Marion business houses.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Genevieve L. Weaver, Marion, and Mrs. Grace Reibel, Savanna. His eldest daughter, Mrs. Jessie Garnett, died Jan. 18, 1943 in San Diego. Six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive. Friends may call at the chapel
