Funeral services for Howard R. Green, 79, founder of the Green Engineering associates, Cedar Rapids, were held Dec. 27 at Cedar Rapids. He was the father of Mrs. Edward Kemp of Tipton.

Mr. Green was the head of one of the best known engineering firms in Iowa and was prominent in engineering societies and civic groups in Cedar Rapids.

He is survived by his wife, 2 daughters, Mrs. Kemp and Mrs. Nancy McHugh, Cedar Rapids and a son, William Green, Loveland, Colo.; 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
