Eugene Johnson better known as Rabbit, 57, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022, in Cedar Rapids. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories: 4200 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52402.

Eugene was born on April 14, 1964, in Chicago, Illinois the son of Eugene Sadler Jr. and Doretha Gordon. He attended Proviso East High School. Later served four years in the U.S. Navy. Eugene worked for Ryder Company, as a forklift operator. He enjoyed football, basketball, and baseball. Eugene was a gifted musician, who could play many instruments. But his greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by the love of his life, Michelle; ten children, Jerome, Stacy (Daughter-in law) Taneka, Allen, Ashlee (Daughter-in-law), Alison, April, Eugene Jr, Alexander, Ashley, Emmanuel, and Crystal; 23 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five siblings, Eugene III (Lisa), Erick (Lalaine), Tina, Eurica, and Melvina; his best friend, Jerome; 36 Niece and Nephews as well as Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

He was preceded in death by his Parents and Grandparent Pastor Elder Eugene Sadler Sr. and Estelle Sadler, his sister Toni Gordon.

Eugene was a loving and wonderful father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He loved everyone he crossed paths with throughout his life. Eugene would go above and beyond for anyone!

We are going to miss your wonderful smile, but we know you will keep smiling and watching over all of us. We love Pops/PaPa!
