Kevin Thomas MacDonald 64, of Cedar Rapids died Friday, October 29, 2021 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy following a short illness. Services will be held at a later date.
Kevin is survived by two sons, Lee MacDonald and Kyle (Megan) MacDonald; two grandchildren Abigail and Adam; his father Robert MacDonald; ten siblings Kathi Lutz, Kristi Bayer, Robert Wetherbee, Stacy Gearhart, Karla Dennis, Marion (Jon) Luoma, Kori (Bill) Taylor, Laura (Dave) Stacy, Jennifer Jones and Jeffrey (Christine) Wetherbee; former wife Cindy; 25 nieces and nephews and 40 great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his mother Phyllis, stepfather Robert Wetherbee and grandparents Michael and Catherine Shustack.
Kevin was born on March 6, 1957 in Worcester, MA the son of Robert and Phyllis Dubios MacDonald. He was married to Cindy MacDonald Marks for 22 years. Kevin worked at Hobart Food Service Equipment for many years.
Kevin loved playing golf and going fishing and hunting with his father in law. He had a great sense of humor and was a family man who took great pride in his sons, Lee and Kyle. Kevin and his brother Robert always took care of all of their siblings and would always protect them. Kevin had many friends and enjoyed playing pool with them. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
