Kathryn Louise Klenk, 95, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Oct. 27, 2021, at Northbrook Manor Care Center, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Kathryn was born July 13, 1926, to William and Hazel (Icenbice) Jack in Deep River, Iowa. She attended country school near Ladora, Iowa. She married Wesley Klenk and together they lived on the Klenk family farm. Katherine was blessed to stay home and raise her children while they were young and upon them growing older, she helped work the farm with her husband.

Kathryn enjoyed baking, canning and crocheting rugs. She loved socializing and having friends and family over for dinner.

She is survived by her children, Verna (Charles) Patten of Vinton, Allen (Kristy) Klenk of Fort Collins, Colo., and Vera Klenk of Springbrook; brother, Harold Jack of Chelsea; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley; son, James Klenk; and brother, Donald Jack.

Memorial service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, at Hrabak-Neuhaus Funeral Service, Belle Plaine, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Mary Weeda and Kara Plesek will be officiating. Burial will take place at Rector Cemetery, Chelsea.
