Terry E. Jacobson passed away Oct. 23, 2021.

Terry's family shares in thanking the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, doctors, staff, Terry's Stem Cell/Bone Marrow Transplant Donor and the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy for their excellent care.

Born April 15, 1963, at five-and-a-half months gestation, Terry was a living miracle. Terry often referenced his "nine lives" as he survived unique life events. Maintaining an exceptional sense of humor, he enjoyed time with family and friends, celebrated his accomplishments and cherished his Christian faith.

Terry was preceded in death by parents, Shirley E. Wilcox (William) and Theodore D. Jacobson (Nancy); brother, Robert A. Jacobson; nephew, Justin R. Johnson; grandparent; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Terry is survived by daughter, Shaina Jacobson, with grandchildren, Autumn and Kyson (Marion, Iowa); siblings, Donald Jacobson (Melinda) (Shreveport, La.), Rita Felker (Robert) (Center Point, Iowa), Joe Jacobson (Cedar Rapids, Iowa), and Roy Stigers (Tammy) (Hartsburg, Mo.); and nieces and nephews, Ellena Johnson (Texas), Tabatha Saucedo (Alan) (Alanna, Tobias) (California), Travis Scanlan (Madelyn) (Nebraska), Daun Pringle (Iowa), Jeremy Felker (Morgan) (Alabama), Eric Felker (Amber (Grayson) (Iowa), and Brandon Stigers (Missouri).

Terry was an Urbana, Iowa, high school graduate. He served in the United States Army, Reserves and National Guard. Terry graduated from Kirkwood Community College with a degree in Associate of Applied Science Automotive Technology, and worked at CRST (Cedar Rapids), and Colonial Transport (Kalona). Following a massive cerebral hemorrhage (2014), Terry left the workforce. Diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (2016), Terry championed through many various treatments.

A "Family and Friends" Memorial Gathering will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at the LJL Hall, Center Point, Iowa.
