Lydia Fregoso, 72, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021, at home. A private family burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, is caring for Lydia and her family. Survivors include her children, Salvador "Ray", Maria, Mario, Jose and Juan (Meaghan) Fregoso; grandchildren, Jonathan, Adrian, David, Ashley and Heaven, Ariel, Mario Jr., Amber and Joselynn, Anthony, Alea and Alanna, and Delilah and Johnny; mother, Florence Lona; sister, Corrine Hinojosa; close and caring relative, Lupe Lona; nieces and nephews, Rueben, Reynaldo, Renee, Becky and Rodrick; and many cousins and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her father, Guadalupe Gonzalez; and father, Guadalupe Lona.

Lydia, limitlessly entrenched with the most prized of all commodities -- an exponentially boundless supply of love.

Lydia, enveloped in selflessness, supremely self-sacrificing, steadfast and unwavering in support of those close enough to import her unconditional and everlasting love.

Lydia, a protector -- courageous when confronted with conflict, a true role model, as she always fought to find more to give in amazingly remarkable ways.

Lydia, one of the dearest and most serene angels ever to have graced the great splendors of our Earth.

And now, Lydia, as your mind and body forevermore rest in peace, may your soul finally be set free to frolic in the afterlife and be rewarded with all your just dues.

Lydia, you will be carried forth perpetually in our memories and the minds of your future decedents.

Lydia, a supreme entity beyond description, whose enduring and everlasting love will always remain coveted in heart and mind.
