Funeral service for Mrs. Sarah M. Pearson, 83, was held Tuesday afternoon at the Methodist church in Springville with Rev. Harold Hewitt, Springville, and Rev. William Strait, Olin, officiating. Burial was made in the Springville cemetery. Mrs. Pearson died Saturday night at her home in Springville following a long illness.

Mrs. Pearson, widow of James Pearson, was born July 13, 1863, in Wisconsin, and came to Iowa when four years old.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Alma Grimes, Mrs. Ethel Clark and Helen Pearson, and two sons, Arthur and Ralph, all of Springville; two sisters, Mrs. Will Cooper, Springville, and Bertha Wild, Pasadena, Calif.; two brothers, George, Manchester, and Ed Wild, Viola; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
