SPRINGVILLE - Frank S. "Merry" Jordan, 60, lifelong resident of Springville and operator of a drug store here for 20 years, died, Jan. 27 at the Veterans hospital at Knoxville, where he had been a patient for three years.

Born July 22, 1886, at Springville, he was a veteran of World war I. He was a member of the Elks club of Cedar Rapids.

Service was conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hunte funeral home by the Rev. Charles B. Willming. Military services were conducted at the grave in Springville cemetery by Marion Post No. 298, American Legion.

Mr. Jordan is former member of the Arthur McCullough Legion post at Anamosa and was well-known in this community.
