Corinne (Nofal) Wilder, 68, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Friday, June 4, 2021, at ManorCare following an extended illness. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 8,

at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Funeral service:

10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home by the Rev. Aaron Junge. Private family

burial: St. George Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Corinne was born Nov. 2, 1952, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Alex and Rose (Homsey) Nofal. She graduated from Kennedy Senior High School in 1971. After high school, she worked at Nash Finch in Cedar Rapids as an office secretary, where she met John Wilder. Corinne was a devoted wife to John for 38 years. They raised three children on a small acreage outside Shellsburg. She spent her life as a homemaker and a caring mother to her children. She was an active and loving grandmother to her five grandchildren. Corinne was very proud of returning to school later in life, earning her CNA and OMT certifications. She also enjoyed writing children's stories and received a creative writing certificate. Corinne loved the holidays and always made them special for her kids and grandkids. She loved making Lebanese grape leaves with friends and family. Corinne will always be remembered for being fun, outgoing and a good friend to many. She would go out of her way to help anyone who needed her. She also especially loved to sing and dance, and had a beautiful smile and an unforgettable laugh.

Corinne is survived by her children, Jackie (Nate) Williams, Julie (Jesse) Steffensen and Johnny Wilder; her grandchildren, Olivia and Alex Williams and Madisen, Aiden and Tristen Steffensen; five siblings; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Corinne was preceded in death by her parents; uncle, Samuel Homsey; sister-in-law, Jean Nofal; brother-in-law, Steven Brady; and sister, Laurice Zimmerman.
