ROSELLA M. NETOLICKY Ely
Rosella M. Netolicky, 85, of Ely, Iowa, died Thursday, June 3, 2021, at The Gardens of Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Funeral Service: 1 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2021, at the funeral home. A livestream of the funeral service may be accessed on the funeral home website tribute page for Rosella under "photos and videos or media," starting at 1 p.m. on the day of the service. Rosella was born Feb. 11, 1936, in Lansing, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Marie (Rachor) Murphy. She married Richard "Dick" Netolicky on Dec. 30, 1967, in Cedar Rapids. Rosella volunteered for many years at Mercy Hospital and St. Ludmila's Parish where she enjoyed baking kolaches. She was a life-long resident of Ely but most recently made her home in Cedar Rapids. She worked various jobs throughout her life, finishing her working career at College Community School District in food service, but being a mother was what she loved the most. Rosella enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and being on the farm. She was quick-witted with a unique sense of humor. Rosella will be dearly missed. Survivors include her sons, Doug (Nancy) of Cedar Rapids, Dave of Ely and Dan (Elli) of Ely; grandchildren, Carlee, Tyler, Addison and Mya; siblings, Francis (Sherry) Murphy of La Crosse, Wis., Mary Lou Wood of Springfield, Mo., and Ambrose (Georgia) Murphy of Center Point, Iowa; many nieces and nephews; and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick in 2012; and sister, Ann Murphy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Rosella's family c/o Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home, 520 Wilson Avenue SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404.
