Cedar Rapids Gazette Saturday April 23, 1938
Edward Zerzanek died at his home, 1821 Ridgewood terrace, at 6:45 a.m. Saturday. Death followed a brief illness. Born July 5, 1877, at Racine, Wis., he had resided there until coming to Cedar Rapids nineteen years ago. He had been employed at the Quaker Oats plant for the last fifteen years.
Surviving are one daughter, Evelyn, at home; his mother, Mrs. Frances Zerzanek; two brothers, Frank and Rudolph, all of Racine, Wis.; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Stritesky, also of Racine, and Mrs. Frank Uhlir of Weta, S.D. His wife preceded him in death just two weeks ago.
Mr. Zerzanek was a member of the Second Presbyterian church of Racine and of the C.S.P.S. lodge. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Turner chapel. Friends may call at the chapel.
