Roy McCorkle, aged 19, of Cedar Rapids, was killed, and his mother, Mrs. J. W. McCorkle, was seriously injured when their auto overturned.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Albert Leroy and that he was born April 12, 1897 and died Aug. 21, 1916. He is buried in Palo Cemetery.
