Cedar Rapids Evening Gazette Tuesday 2, 1904
In the death of Peter Mytek Cedar Rapids mourns the loss of one of its most esteemed pioneers. The end came today at noon, on the anniversary of his marriage. Mrs. Mytek died some years ago.
Peter Mytek was 77 years of age. He had resided in this city thirty-six years and had been engaged in business here the greater part of that time. About seven weeks ago he slipped and fell while walking in the yard at his residence. The injuries he received, together with his old age, hastened the end.
Two daughter, Mrs. Prochr, of this city, and Mrs. Paysor of Chicago, and two sons, Antonio, of this city, and Frank of Chicago are bereaved.
The funeral will take place Thursday afternoon at 2:30 from 1229 Third street. Interment will be made at Oak Hill.
