After an illness of but a week's duration Floetta Chase died at Mercy hospital at 1:45 yesterday afternoon. About two weeks ago the child while at play, accidentally burned her wrist. The wound appeared to be of trivial nature and gave no cause for apprehension until Saturday night last when the little girl complained of pain in her arm. A physician who was summoned pronounced the case one of blood poisoning and advised that the child be taken to a hospital. With blood poisoning pneumonia set in and the end came yesterday afternoon.
Floetta Chase was seven years and six months of age. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Chase, 1027 J avenue west, and was a very bright and winsome child. The funeral will take place from the residence tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Martin of Bethany chapel will conduct the services. Interment will be at Oak Hill.
