DELMER LEROY MOLLENHAUER Loveland, Colo. Delmer Leroy Mollenhauer, who previously lived in Boulder and Loveland, Colo., passed away April 13, 2021. He was 80 years old. Delmar was born March 8, 1941, to Roy and Thelma Molenhauer in Center Point, Iowa. He was baptized in his youth and was member of the First Christian Church of Center Point. He was active in youth groups in junior high and high school. He was active in sports, music and was the drum major of the marching band. He graduated high school in 1959. He received his bachelor of music education in 1964 in his master of music education in 1965 from Drake University. Del taught music in Forest City, Iowa, and Centaurus High School in Colorado. Del was a skilled artisans in woodworking and traveled to many craft fairs selling his wares. He was also a member of several jazz groups, the most recent group being the crystal swing band that produced CDs of their music. Del is survived by his sister, Karen Vold of Dumont, Minn.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Verle, Burton and Galen; his brother-in-law, Ronald Vold; and a nephew, Kenneth Mollenhauer. Del will be buried in Center Point, Iowa.
