RICK LEE SNYDER Shueyville
Rick Lee Snyder, 69, of Shueyville, passed away peacefully, at his home on Monday, May 3, 2021, from natural causes. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Swisher American Legion, No. 68, Third St. SE, Swisher. Per COVID-19 guidelines, attendees are asked to wear masks and practice social distancing. Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family. Rick is survived by his daughter, Angela (Michael) Byrd; sons, Mark Snyder (Tressie Schwering) and Wayne Snyder (Shelby Pitts), both of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Gabriella, Easton, Destiny, Dayton, Devynn, Waylon, Demi, Adam, Alex, Lorilee and Arianna; mom, Amy Snyder of Shueyville; brothers, Dick Hansell of Altoona and Don (Jeri) Snyder of Cedar Rapids; sisters, Cass Martin of Maine and Pam (Jake) Bulicek of Shueyville; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his dad, Wayne; niece, Keri Jo Goddard; and sister-in-law, Jan Hansell. Rick was born on Oct. 18, 1951, in Boone, the son of Wayne and Marian "Amy" Deal Snyder and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1969. He worked as a computer programmer in the sheet metal industry for many years. Rick enjoyed, radio controlled car racing, camping, fishing and boating.
