Edgar Samuel Cinkan, 64, of Cedar Rapids, died April 17, 2021, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. A private memorial service will be held at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel. A livestream of the service may be accessed on the funeral home website under the obituary for Edgar Cinkan, under the video tab starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 24. Public visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday April 23, at Cedar Memorial West Side Chapel. Ed will spend eternity with his wife Cheryl at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.

Following the continued guidance from health officials, physical distancing must be practiced, which requires a limited number of people allowed into the visitation at one time. The use of face masks or shields is required.

Ed was born Aug. 23, 1956, in Pennsylvania, to Betty and Donald Bear Cinkan Sr.

He has two daughters, Carla and Tonya Sullivan (Bobby Sullivan); and two sons, Todd and Matthew (Monica) Cinkan (Cheryl Cinkan). He has five brothers, Victor "Rocky" Cinkan, Michael Cinkan, Lloyd "Chucky" Cinkan, Dana Broadwater and Dean Broadwater; and three sisters, Rebecca "Becky" Whiteside, Melanie Coleman and Dion Broadwater.

Ed loved his job as a groundskeeper and was very proud of his work as a "grave digger" which he did all by hand. He enjoyed telling people about his life experiences. He loved to gamble, and he loved anything Elvis.
