Funeral service for Frank L. Boxwell, 79, who died at his home south of Martelle Aug. 22, was held Friday afternoon with burial at Norwich cemetery. Smykil home was in charge of arrangements.

Frank L. Boxwell, son of William and Julia Boxwell, was born in Linn Co. March 21, 1966. Nov. 3, 1885 he was united in marriage to Mary A. Ellison, and to this union were born four children, twin sons and two daughters.

Feb. 24, 1902 he was married to Anna Moore. He spent all his life as a farmer in Linn Co. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias lodge at Martelle.

Surviving are his widow and three children, Virgil G., Lisbon; Mrs. E. L. Patten, Cedar Rapids and Jessie Boxwell, Martelle; a brother, Mose, Mount Vernon, and a sister, Mrs. Clara Lee, Pasadena, Calif.; also five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Virtis L., and a brother, Clarence, Davenport.
