PRAIRIEBURG--Mrs. Joe M. Holub, Cedar Rapids, former resident of Prairieburg, died Sunday evening, May 3.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, at St. Joseph's Church, Prairieburg. Rosary will be recited Tuesday evening, May 5, at the Funeral home at 8 p.m.

PRAIRIEBURG--Mrs. Ann B. Holub, 84, a former resident of Prairieburg, died Sunday, May 3, at a Cedar Rapids Nursing home.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 6, at 9:30 a.m., at St. Joseph's Catholic church, Prairieburg. Rev. Trazeil conducted the service. Burial was in St. Joseph's cemetery, Prairieburg. McNamara Funeral home, Anamosa, was in charge of arrangements.

She was born Jan. 14, 1880, son of Michael Simmons and Mary Simmons, Bohemia. She was married to Joseph M. Holub, Prairieburg, Oct. 19, 1904, at St. Joseph's, Prairieburg. She had lived her married life on a farm in the Prairieburg area.

Survivors include four sons, Joseph D. Holub and Hubert Holub, both of Cedar Rapids; Bernard Holub, Phoenix, Ariz.; and Merle Holub, Prairieburg.

Other survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Agnes Quigley, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Mildred Swenka, Lewistown, Mo.; Mrs. Margaret Hostah, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Marjoire Fisher, Center Point; and Mrs. Jeanette Jones, Cedar Rapids; and 27 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1961, one son, Leo; and a daughter, Hilda.
