Harry Burdette Worthan, 60, of 304 Linden Terrace Se, sales manager for the Elite Chick Company and a Cedar Rapids resident 50 years, died at his home at 1 p.m. Friday following a long illness.
Born June 11, 1889, at Davenport, he was married to Mary B. Gillian June 11, 1914, in Rock Island. He was a member of the Elks and Moose lodges.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Mrs. Vance McCray, of Cedar Rapids; two brothers, Floyd Worthan of Nappanee, Ind., and Stanley Worthan of Miami, and three grandchildren.
Services will be conducted in the Turner chapel at 1:30 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel after 1 p.m. Saturday.
