Gerald Dean “Jerry” Bixby, 75, of Marion, Iowa, passed away peacefully in his home February 5, 2021.

Per his wishes, he has been cremated. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cedar Memorial is assisting with arrangements.

Jerry was born September 24, 1945 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Darrell and Kathleen (Adams) Bixby. Jerry enlisted in the Navy at 17 and proudly served his country.

He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, and having breakfast with brothers. He was a member of the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister-in-law Linda.

He is survived by his sons Robert (Mary) Bixby, and Shane (Erin) Bixby; grandchildren Aaron, Mitchel, Morgan, and Kaitlin; brothers Buss Bixby, Jim (Deb) Bixby, and Dave (Sun) Bixby.
