Tillie Mae Staub, 91 of Cedar Rapids, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s Living Center West in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A private family graveside service was held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family and a donation will be made in Tillie’s honor.

Tillie Evenson was born March 03, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of George and Frances (Sheaver) Evenson. She married William E. Staub on March 15, 1947 in Iowa City. Tillie worked at Ellis Golf Course and Twin Pines Golf Course for many years. She had a passion for collecting antiques and was employed by Sanctuary Antiques. Tillie enjoyed her garden house and wildlife, especially tending to the neighborhood cats. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many.

She is survived by her daughter, Billie Jean (Randy) Meeks of Cedar Rapids, IA; granddaughter, Jodie (Michael) Murphy; two great-grandchildren, Justeen Schoner and Connor Murphy all of Marion, IA. Tillie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William E. Staub; and a son, James Staub.
