Barbara was a wonderfully dedicated mother and grandmother; she adored her family and lived to serve others. She was a woman of strong and enduring faith and loved being a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Barbara was a gifted and loving nurse and was employed for a long period at St. Luke's Pediatric ward in Cedar Rapids.
She was famous for her bean soup, muffins and incredible apple crisp. Family and friends never left her home hungry. She was a huge fan of the Hawkeyes and the Chicago Cubs and she even kept track of their stats. Barbara will be deeply missed by all of her family and all who knew her.
I want to especially thank, Heritage Care Initiative on Clive Dr. in Cedar Rapids; the nurses and staff are extremely dedicated to each resident. I was blessed to have my mother experience their loving care. In fact, I saw my mother bloom during her stay at Heritage. It was so sweet when I realized that most of the staff, lovingly called her Grandma. My love and everlasting THANKS to each of you. Sincerely, Becky Klein
