SPRINGVILLE--Kenneth D. Brandt, 43, a resident of Springville 1 1/2 years, and former resident of Anamosa, died unexpectedly Sunday, Nov. 25, in a Cedar Rapids hospital.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 27, at 2 p.m., at the Lutheran Church of Resurrection, Marion. Burial was in Cedar Memorial cemetery, Murdoch chapel.

He was born April 20, 1919, at Gillmore City. He was married to Leona Rieniets, at Waterloo in 1938. He served in the United States army during World war II in the European theater.

He was general sales manager for Central Sales and service, Des Moines. Brandts moved to Springville from Waterloo.

Survivors include his wife; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Gauch, Springville; a daughter, Betty Lou, Davenport; a brother, Boyd Brandt, Wyoming; and a sister, Mrs. James Bender, Monticello.
