Mary E. Mally, 89, of 640 Seventh street SE, widow of Frank Mally, died Sunday after a short illness.
Born near Mt. Vernon on June 24, 1875, she had been a resident of Cedar Rapids since 1897.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Hoffman and Mr.[sic] George Jennings, and five sons, Joseph, Fred, Milvoy, John and Stanley, all of Cedar Rapids; 25 grandchildren and 68 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Frank Serovy of Ely and George Serovy of Cedar Rapids; three sisters, Mrs. Frank Kubovec, Mrs. John F. Kuba and Mrs. Edward Cerny, all of Cedar Rapids. Three sons preceded her in death.
Services: Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Kuba funeral home by the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Anthony W. Chihak. Burial: Czech National. Msgr. Chihak will recite the Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, where friends may call.
