Jerilynn Mae “Jeri” (Pulver) Haren, 79, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Funeral Services will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home, 520 Wilson Ave., SW in Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Monday, December 28, 2020 also at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids, additional visitation will 10:00 am until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. Graveside Committal Services will be 3:00 pm also on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 in Evergreen Cemetery in Delhi, Iowa.
It is required to utilize masks and to observe social distancing during the visitation and during the funeral service due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Jeri was born November 22, 1941 at the family home in Delhi, Iowa, the daughter of John W. and Effie M. (Persson) Pulver. She graduated from Delhi High School in 1959. Jeri married John “Jack” Haren on November 28, 1959 in Delhi, he passed on November 1, 2007. Jeri always had a smile on her face and enjoyed visiting with friends and family. Jeri and Jack enjoyed the RV life together until his passing, together they spent winters in Mission, TX, as well as Welton, AZ. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and friends. Jeri enjoyed playing card games and BINGO, and also enjoyed many memorable trips after Jack’s passing.
Survivors include her children, Dennis Haren, Troy (Julie) Haren, and Lorri (Pat) Beatty; grandchildren, Kurtis Haren, Tara Cutler, Kourtney Haren, Ryan Haren, Samantha Beatty, Ian Beatty, Tyler Haren, and Justin Haren; 1 great-grandchild, Aaliyah; siblings, Leroy “Swede” Pulver, Joeann Jarosik, and Jackie (Charles) Hempstead; a brother in-law, Jim Tharp.
Jeri was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; siblings, John Pulver, Olaf “Sonny” Pulver, and Jeannette Tharp; sister in-law, Rita Pulver; and a brother in-law, Ernie Quint.
A memorial fund has been established in Jeri’s memory.
