Funeral services were held July 11 at 2 p.m. in the Methodist church in Lisbon for Mrs. Carl Kruse, 76, with the Rev. Omar Pettersen in charge. Burial was in the Lisbon cemetery. Mrs. Kruse died at her home in Lisbon July 9 after a short illness.

Katherine A. Euler Kruse was born March 7, 1888 to John and Katherine Kaufler Euler at Treysa, Germany, the youngest of 5 daughters. She came to this country in 1911 when she married Carl William Kruse Dec. 3, 1911 at Fort Madison. She visited her family home in Germany in 1962.

After living in Tomahawk, Wis.; Sternberg, Germany and Munising, Mich., the family moved to Lisbon in August 1928 where Mr. Kruse was in the bakery business. He preceded her in death in 1959.

Survivors include a sister, Marie Johnson of Treysa, Germany, 6 children, Fred and William of Lisbon, Carl of Marion, Mrs. Paul (Anna) Koch of Wyoming, Katherine of Iowa City and Otto of Tipton, 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were sons Fred, Carl, William and Otto and grandsons Leoral Kruse and Frank Koch.
