Ruth Van Vleck, 71, of 704 Thirty-second street NE, widow of Andrew W. Van Vleck, died Saturday after a long illness. Born Nov. 10, 1903, in Marion, she was a lifelong resident of the Cedar Rapids area.
She was married to Mr. Van Vleck May 4, 1925, at Cedar Rapids. She was a member of Central Park Presbyterian church, Rebekah lodge, VFW and auxiliary, World war I veterans auxiliary and Evergreen of Marion.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Maynard DeNeui, Fulton, Mo.; Mrs. Arthur Achenbach, Hiawatha, and Dorothy McCalley and Mrs. Robert Naaktgeboren, both of Cedar Rapids; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services: Turner chapel east at 3 p.m. Tuesday by the Rev. Allen S. Van Cleve. Burial: Oak Shade cemetery, Marion. Friends may call at the funeral home....
