W. E. Parkhurst committed suicide on the first anniversary of his wedding at Ottumwa because his wife refused to accompany him to their new home in Iowa Falls.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in Oak Shade Cemetery in Linn County. He was born Aug. 1880 and died April 14, 1913.
