PRAIRIEBURG--Otto A. DeLancey, life-long resident of here, died Thursday, July 23, after an extended illness.
He was born July 6, 1874, at Prairieburg, the son of Amos and Calista DeLancey. The eldest of a family of three. For over 50 years he was in business and only a few months ago he retired.
Survivors are his wife, Jennie and seven children by a former marriage. They are: Mrs. Madge Flockhart and Mrs. Edith Chandler, Del Ray Beach, Fla.; Lester, Sterling, Ill.; Gail, Cedar Rapids; Park, Kenneth and Don, Prairieburg. Six grandchildren, one brother, Elmo E., Viola, and a sister, Mrs. Pearl Bowman, Lost Nation, also survive.
Burial was at Boulder cemetery, west of Prairieburg.
