Mrs. James T. Goudy, 80, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Earl A. Bickel, 2377 Blake boulevard SE, Saturday at 8:15 p.m. after a lingering illness.
Born Sept. 16, 1868, in Jones county, she moved to Marion during her early womanhood.
She was married to James T. Goudy at Marion Feb. 25, 1889. He died Sept. 6, 1948. The family moved to Cedar Rapids in 1904.
Besides Mrs. Bickel, she is survived by a grandson and one sister, Mrs. Grant Fisher of Guthrie Center. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian church.
Services will be conducted in the Turner chapel at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday by Dr. Andrew Kurth, pastor of Westminster Presbyterian church. Burial will be in Oak Shade cemetery in Marion. Friends may call at the chapel.
