The funeral for Paul Raymond (Red) Shaffer, 52, of Lisbon was held Saturday, May 15, at 1:30 p.m. at the Federated Church in Lisbon with the Rev. Kenneth Glover officiating.

Burial was in the Lisbon Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jerry Ortmann, James Taylor, Donald Smith, Richard Waite, Michael Wallace and Steven Wallace.

The family has established a memorial fund.

Born August 23, 1929 at Sharon Center, Mr. Shaffer attended high school in Tiffin.

On October 5, 1954 he was united in marriage to Donna Richert at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.

That same year, he moved from Oxford Junction to Lisbon.

He was a member of The Federated Church, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

He had been employed as a truck driver for Manatt's Concrete Company of Tipton and Clarence.

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter; one sister, Viva Colony; and one infant son, John Carl.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Karla Shaffer, Lisbon, one son Keevin Shaffer, Lisbon, five brothers, Wayne of Traer, Walter of Iowa City, Robert of Cedar Rapids, Delmar of Kolona and Mervin of Grand Island, NB; one sister, Alverta Williams of Tiffin; and his mother, Mrs. Edith Shaffer of Iowa City.
