Paul L. Kost, 82, formerly of 895 9th street, Marion, died in a Cedar Rapids nursing home Sunday afternoon, May 21, following a long illness.
Mr. Kost was born Dec. 1, 1890 at Iowa City. He was a brick mason and was employed by private contractors.
He was married to Genevive Brink May 29, 1930 in Cedar Rapids. She died in June 1967.
Surviving are three sons, Joseph of Racine, Wis., Paul, Jr., of Cedar Rapids, Charles of Jacksonville, Fla.; five daughters, Catherine Allen of West Branch, Gertrude Bowers, Coralville, Mary Townsend of Seattle, Wash., Margaret Roach of Denver, Colo., Cecelia Boysen of Marion and a step-daughter, Pauline Lampham of Marion; several grandchildren.
Services were held at the Baxter Memorial Chapel Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Charles Moore officiating. Burial was in Oak Shade cemetery.
