Joseph Velbeny, 82, of 890 Sixth st., lifelong Marion resident, died Monday morning in a Springville nursing home.
He was born December 9, 1878, in Marion, the son of Joseph and Katherine Sybil Velbeny. He was a meat cutter and had been employed recently at the Witwer Farm Market.
Surviving is a sister, Lillian Velbeny of Marion.
Services: Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Murdoch chapel by the Rev. Charles Moore. Burial: Oak Shade. Friends may call at the chapel after 11 a.m. Tuesday.
