Mrs. Alice Miles Spencer died at the home of her brother, Allen Miles, near Robins, Tuesday morning. The funeral was held at the Pingrey undertaking parlor Thursday at 2 p.m. Rev. D.W. Miller officiating.

Cedar Rapids Evening Gazette Thursday July 5, 1917
The funeral of Mrs. Alice Miles Spencer was held today from the Pingrey chapel, the Rev. D.W. Miller of Robins officiated and burial was made in Oak Shade cemetery.
