Stacy Lynn Chabak, 51, of Cedar Rapids, reached her heavenly home on Friday, February 21, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Oakland Church of the Nazarene by Pastor Dave King. Family is requesting that purple be worn to honor Stacy. Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family.
Stacy is survived by five children, Cory, KJ, Kora-Lee, Keeler and Kesslyn; grandlove Kenneth; mother Maureen “Maury”; sister Kimmy K; stepmother Ruth Heim, Robert Dix and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, paternal grandparents and brother in law Matt Fiala.
Stacy was born November 5, 1968 in Hinsdale, IL the daughter of Robert and Maureen Keeley Chabak. She graduated from Lake Park High School and received an Associates of Arts Degree from DuPage Community College in Illinois.
Stacy’s family was the most important thing to her and she will be missed deeply by them. Her faith was strong as well as her love toward others, putting others before herself, were the hallmarks of her legacy. Stacy was an avid Chicago Bears fan who enjoyed music, dancing and reading. She gave her time to many different charitable organizations including S.A.I.N.T.S cat sanctuary, the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk (a three time participant) and also the Henry Davison Youth Center.
