Mrs. Katherine Gillilan Dead
Funeral services for Mrs. Katherine Miller Gillilan, who died in a local hospital Wednesday, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Yocom chapel. The Rev. W.E. Fisher, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Gillilan cemetery near Springville. She was born Nov 20, 1848 and was married to George Gillilan in 1870. Nine children were born to them, four of whom died in infancy, and one son was killed in 1912. She is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Mary Warthan, Mrs. Arlene Long, Mrs. Sylvia Hunt and one son, Charles Gillilan, all of Cedar Rapids.
