Memorial
Joseph R. Hall, Jr., 79 of Cedar Rapids, passed away January 27, 2020, at the Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha. A memorial visitation will be held in late spring at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home at a time to be determined.

Joseph was born on July 23, 1940, in Centerville, Iowa, to Raymond and Grace (Archibald) Hall. Joseph was an Instrumental Music Teacher at Kennedy High School from 1988-2002. He also taught at Alburnett High School. Joseph was a founder of the Cedar Valley Garden Railway Society. He was also a member of the Iowa Music Educators Association and Iowa High School Music Association.

Joseph is survived by his children, Jill (John) Stranczek of Grayslake, IL, Cami Nix of Palatine, IL, and David Hall of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Jack and Sophia Nix; one sister, Julia (Ron) Apple-Smith of Ames and three nephews, Damon and Darren Hall of Pittsburg, PA and Brian Apple of Kissimmee, FL.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jack Hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
