Death of Mrs. Lizzie B. Nihill
Mrs. Lizzie Nihill, an old resident of this city, died Saturday at Mercy hospital following an operation to which she had submitted two days before. Lizzie Brenneman was born at Mt. Vernon Sept. 25, 1859. She was married to Anson Freeman of Springville in 1884 and to them were born two sons, Earl and Ben Freeman, both residing here. Mr. Freeman died at in 1896 she was married to John Nihill, who died a few years ago. A daughter Anna, now Mrs. Milligan of Chicago, was born to this union. Mrs. Nihill is survived by her three children, also four brothers, Laurance and Ernest of Marion, John F., of Cedar Rapids and Clarence E., of Seattle.
The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at her home, 790 Sixth street with the Rev. Frank Ward of Cedar Rapids, assisted by the Rev. J.E. Bruner, pastor of the Baptist church, in charge. Burial was in Oak Shade cemetery.
