Mrs. Henry Scheer of route No. 1, Cedar Rapids, a Linn county resident for two years, died at her home at 5:26 p.m. Saturday following a long illness.
She was born Edith E. Prabel on Jan. 5, 1894, at Ryan, Iowa, and came to her home west of Cedar Rapids from West Branch.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three daughters, Deloras Scheer of Chicago, Mrs. Geneva Stewart of Springville and Mrs. Geraldine Hampton of Atkins; five sons, Donald of Marion, Robert, Darance, Charles and Richard, all of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Mrs. J.L. Berger, and a brother, Carl Prabel, both of Cedar Rapids. She also leaves seven grandchildren.
Mrs. Scheer was a member of the Lutheran church at Atkins.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Lutheran church at Atkins at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday by the Rev. Juilius Koch. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial Park cemetery. Friends may call at the Turner chapel after 1 p.m. Sunday.
