William E. Lutz, 91, of 575 Sixth Ave., Marion, died Saturday morning in a Cedar Rapids hospital.
He was born on Oct. 21, 1889, in Marion. On Jan. 16, 1924, he married Alma Morse in Marion.
Mr. Lutz was a railroad engineer with the Milwaukee Railroad for 45 years until his retirement in 1955. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Engineers.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Clarence of Anamosa; three grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Murdoch Chapel in Marion by the Rev. Charles Moore. Burial: Shiloh Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel after 2 p.m. Monday.
