Lisbon, Ia., March 28.--Mary Hammon, daughter of Jacob and Ida Hamon, died Thursday night, March 16, at her home south of Lisbon at the age of twenty-one years, 6 months and 25 days. Always of delicate health, she failed to develop into strong vigorous womanhood, never-the-less she enjoyed life. She was taken sick Tuesday, March 14, and gradually grew worse in spite of medical skill and the end of life's short journey was reached. The following Thursday. Funeral services were held in the U.B. church Sunday afternoon in the presence of a large audience. Rev. James Balz, pastor of the M.E. church, assisted by Rev. G. C. Barnes, conducted the services after which the body was laid to rest in the Lisbon cemetery.
