Raymond Patrick Larson, 77, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday November 10, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer at Mercy Medical Center. Funeral Mass, 11 a.m., Wednesday, at St. John XXIII Catholic Church by Rev. Dustin Vu. Friends may visit with the family Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m., at Teahen Funeral Home and Wednesday after 10 a.m., at the church.

Ray is survived by his wife Louise; two daughters, Amie (Frank) Seurer of Olathe, KS and Tanya (Kevin) Kitterman of Cedar Rapids; two sons, Ray Jr. (Randi) and Bill (Kathy) Larson both of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Gracie, Raymond III, Kylie, Frankie, Jake, Alyssa, Aaron, David, Sam, Mak; great grandson Kobe; two brothers, Larry (Linda) and Don (Cheryl) Larson; many nieces and nephews; a special group of friends; and his sidekick Todo.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents and his father and mother-in-law EJ and Velma Maloney.

Ray was born August 12, 1941 in Cedar Rapids the son of Arthur and Ann Cosgrove Larson. He attended Harrison Elementary, Roosevelt Junior High and graduated in 1959 from Jefferson High School. He married Louise Maloney on July 22, 1961 at St. Patrick Church. Ray owned Ray Larson Construction and had worked at Alpha International and more recently at K&J Property Services. He was a member of St. John XXIII Catholic Church.

Ray enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, attending sporting events, relaxing while fishing, and gambling with Louise. He always enjoyed building and loved his work as a contractor. Ray always enjoyed taking long walks with his faithful companion Todo.
