Keith M. Spielmann, 41, of Cedar Rapids and formerly of Dyersville passed away Monday, October 29, 2018, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City.

Visitation will be held 2-8 p.m. Sunday, November 4, 2018, at Kramer Funeral Home, 750 12th Ave SW in Dyersville where a parish vigil service will be held at 7:30 pm. Visitation will continue Monday from 9 - 10 am at Kramer Funeral Home prior to funeral services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2018, St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, Iowa with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Ralph Davis will officiate.

Keith was born Nov. 13, 1976, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Michael and Mary (Wolfe) Spielmann. He graduated from Western Dubuque High School with the Class of 1995, and went on to earn an Associate's Degree in graphic art at the Colorado Institute of Art in 1999. He was employed with Bimm Ridder Sports Wear in Cedar Rapids as a Graphic Design Artist.

Keith was a very sweet, generous and loving son, brother and uncle who loved to spend time outdoors fishing, always looking forward to the annual Wisconsin Fishing Trip with his brother, Kevin. He also enjoyed hiking with his family and all of the dogs, movies and listening to music. He was a member of the Dyersville Court of the Catholic Order of Foresters.

Keith is survived by his mother, Mary Spielmann of Dyersville, siblings: Pati Spielmann of Charlotte, NC, Pam (Rob) Knoot of Cedar Rapids and Kevin Spielmann of Prairieburg; 2 nieces, Sabrina and Savannah Dyer, a nephew, Jonas Knoot, his Boxer, Cleo, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Michael, in 1997, his grandparents, Rachel and Eugene Wolfe and Aloysius and Margaret Spielmann.

Memorials are preferred to the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation or the St. Francis Xavier Basilica Organ Restoration Fund.
