John Bunting Dies; Services Saturday
John W. Bunting, 68, of 1480 Twelfth street, and a lifelong resident of Marion, died at his home Thursday morning.
He was born Dec. 16, 1901, north of Marion. On Feb. 4, 1937, at Chicago, he was married to Norma June Bunting. Mr. Bunting served with the U.S. navy following World war I, and was employed as an electrician for 30 years, prior to his retirement in 1966. He was a member of the First United Methodist church of Marion and Trojan lodge 548, AF & AM.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Robert E. Bunting of Cedar Rapids; a grandson, and a sister, Mrs. Ben Moats of Venice, Fla.
Services: 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Murdoch chapel in Marion conducted by the Rev. Lloyd C. Kellams and Trojan lodge 548. Burial: Oak Shade cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel. All Master Masons are requested to meet at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the temple to attend the services.
