Clarence Rohrer Dies -- Clarence Rohrer, 57, locomotive engineer for the Milwaukee railroad and a former Marion resident, died Friday at his home in Council Bluffs.
Born Jan. 24, 1898, at Cascade, he came to Marion as a small boy. He attended Marion schools. During World war I he served with the army in France. He had been with the railroad since returning from service, living most of the time in Council Bluffs.
Survivors include his wife, the former Mabel Clark, and two sisters, Mrs. K.P. Shimerda of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Ivan Reddish of Riverside, Calif.
Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Meyer funeral home, Council Bluffs. The body will be brought to the Murdoch funeral home, Marion, and graveside services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Oakshade cemetery. Military services will be conducted by Marion post 298, American Legion. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening.
