Cassie Kemp, Marion, Dies; Rites Thursday
Cassie Kemp, 92, of 337 Eleventh street, a lifelong Linn county resident, died Tuesday in a Marion nursing home.
Born Nov. 23, 1878, near Toddville, she was married to William Kemp on April 16, 1923, at Marion.
Surviving are a grandson, J. Ray Ozias of Marion; a great-grandson, Douglas K. Ozias of Austin, Texas; two brothers, Dewey Lint and Curtis Lint, both of Marion; and a sister, Cora Postel of Cedar Rapids.
Services: Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Murdoch chapel in Marion, conducted by the Rev. Lee Griffis of the Four Square Gospel church, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call at the chapel after 7 p.m. Wednesday evening.
