Marion News:
The funeral of Mr. Christopher Kalen, whose death of paralysis occurred at his home in this city, was held from the family residence, on East Eighth avenue, yesterday afternoon. The services were conducted by Rev. T.M. Evans and interment took place in Oak Shade cemetery. The deceased had been employed as blacksmith at the Milwaukee round house in Marion for a great many years and many of his business associates and friends were present, and there were many beautiful flowers. Deceased leaves a wife, three daughters and one son, all of whom will have the sympathy of many friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Kalen of North McGregor were in Marion yesterday, being called here by the death of the former's father.
