The Marion Register Tuesday November 20, 1917
James A.[sic] Beall died in a Cedar Rapids hospital Tuesday of last week. Before the Motor, now Electric railway, between Marion and Cedar Rapids was built he was the proprietor of a cab line between the two cities. His age was 72. Many pioneer citizens have pleasant memories of courteous treatment when they traveled in his carriage.
